Firefly is a car rental company that provides discount rates on car hire designed for holiday travel. Firefly has convenient
locations, great prices and fleet at your disposal.

A valid driver's licence, issued from your country of residence and held for at least one
year, MUST be presented at time of rental. If your licence is not in English, an International
Driver's Permit may be required.
As of 8th June 2015, the paper counterpart of the UK photo card driving licence is no longer valid and is no longer issued by the DVLA. If renting in Croatia or Slovenia all drivers with a UK licence (Great Britain) will need to present a Licence Summary which will provide evidence of any driving endorsements. This also applies if you have a paper licence that was issued before 1998. To obtain your Licence Summary please visit www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence You will need:

To save time at the counter we advise you bring a print out of your Licence Summary. If you do not have access to a printer, then please note the Unique Code that will be displayed. Unique Codes are case sensitive so it is important to write in upper and lower case letters where relevant. Staff will need this code in order to view your Licence Summary online when you arrive at the location (please allow extra time for this process). Unique Codes are only valid for 72 hours from the time of generation. Unique Codes can also be obtained by calling +44(0)300 083 0013. This depends on the local renting policies. We accept all major European credit cards that carry VISA / MASTERCARD /EUROCARD /AMEX logo
on them. Firefly Italy accept Visa and Mastercard Debit Card, only for car groups B,
C Please note that we DO NOT accept cash payments and ELECTRONIC DEBIT CARD.
Yes, our site uses the security protocol SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to secure the information
you send and receive. When sites use a security protocol, information that you provide,
such as your name or credit-card number, is encrypted so that it can't be viewed by other
people. All personal information you send and receive is encrypted.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate insurance protection for the vehicle,
you, your passengers and third party liability. Our rates include insurance Liability
Insurance for injuries or damages to persons or things outside the vehicle, Collision
Damage Waiver coverage, limiting potential vehicle damage liability and Theft Protection,
other insurances like Super Cover or Personal Insurance are offered as an option (
PI please check at the counter). In some cases, you may pay a fee up front to limit
excess payment liability.
Optional Extras include child seats, additional drivers, fuel purchase options, insurances
(incl. excess waivers). These all carry a fee.
Optional extras are paid for locally at the counter. The 'Freedom Pack' must be booked at
time of reservation.
In some destinations Firefly operates a
Full-Full fuel policy as standard. Here a vehicle is provided with a full tank of
fuel which customers must return full of fuel.
In some destinations Firefly operates a Full-Empty fuel policy as standard. Here a vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel which customers can return with as little or as much fuel as they wish. In these destinations, customers who prefer a Full-Full fuel policy have the option to purchase our ‘Freedom Pack’ which bundles this, and other rental benefits, together. Sorry, all seats must remain in the car/van.
Firefly offers 24h Emergency Roadside Assistance 365 days a year. Details will be supplied
at time of rental.
Sorry, no you cannot split charges among different cards.
Charge cards must be in the renter's name. The renter's name must be embossed on the front
of the card.
Yes. One way rentals are not permitted.
In the event that a flight is delayed, causing the car
pick-up to fall outside normal working hours, an additional charge will be made locally,
where the out of hours service is available. We will wait for you if you have provided
us details of your flight number up to
2 hours after normal working hours, and cannot accept further responsibility.
If you fail to return the vehicle to the agreed return or collection point at or before the vehicle return time stated on the Rental Record, you will be charged an extra day’s rental at the relevant daily rate, including charges for any options taken, for every day or part of a day that the car is overdue. This charge is subject to an additional time (or ‘ grace period’) of 30 minutes. Our systems are designed to automatically send out confirmation emails soon after a booking
is made. Depending on your email provider, it can sometimes take a few hours for the
email to reach your in-box. If you have not received your confirmation email from us,
first check your spam email folder. If you have still not received the email after 24
hours, then please contact us with your reservation details.

a rental is completed. Depending on your email provider, it can sometimes take a few
hours for the email to reach your in-box. If you have not received your statement of
